At Killik Asset Management we take Corporate Social Responsibility very seriously. Please see below for some of the recent activities and charities Killik Asset Management has been involved in.
Killik & Co were the proud associate match sponsors of the Barbarians vs. South Africa Mastercard Trophy which took place on Saturday 4th December 2010 at Twickenham Stadium. The Barbarians' notched up their fourth victory in seven fixtures against South Africa, built on a magnificent opening quarter of attacking rugby and a fine defensive effort in the second half. At 26-10 with the clock ticking away the game was effectively won. Late consolation tries by Bakkies Botha and Bandise Maku failed to stop the Barbarians and their well-deserved celebrations at the final whistle.
The Cure Parkinson’s Trust is a patient led charity that funds research which will have an impact on the lives of people with Parkinson’s, with the hope of an eventual cure for the condition. The Trust was founded in 2005 and its fundraising arm is called ‘Movers and Shakers’ a name adopted by the co – founders. We are very pleased to support this worthy cause by hosting the Annual Reception for Friends and Key Supporters in late November. Co-Operation Ireland is the leading peace-building charity on the island of Ireland. Their mission is to 'advance mutual understanding and respect by promoting practical co-operation between the people of Northern Ireland and of the Republic of Ireland'. In October 2010 Jer O’Mahony, a member of the Killik Asset Management team scaled the heights of Mount Kilimanjaro, raising funds to support the ongoing work of this charity.
Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to finding causes, improving diagnosis and treatments, and running groundbreaking clinical trials for all blood cancer patients. Blood cancers including Leukaemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma affect people of all ages from newborns to grandparents. Killik Asset Management has worked with Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research by participating in their 2010 London Bikeathon which took place on Sunday 27 June. To find out more please click here
